1.-Poas Volcano (half day)
In this excursion we will drive by the city of Alajuela passing by the Agriculture Monument, the Monument to Juan Santamaria and the famous Mango Park.
As we ascend towards the Poas Volcano we will notice the change in temperature and vegetation; we will see coffee plantations as well as fern, flower and strawberry farms along the way, creating a beautiful landscape.
In Poas Volcano we will not only admire the impressive main crater with its sulfur fumaroles, but also learn about the different ecosystems in this beautiful national park.

2.-Irazu Volcano (half day)
The trip begins ascending the breathtaking summit of the Irazu Volcano for a view of the massive crater. On a clear day you can actually see the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans!
After an exciting tour at the volcano, we will descend to the historical city of Cartago. Here we will visit the mysterious ruins of the old Parish and view the beautiful Basilica of our \"Virgen de los Angeles\" with rich displays of carvings, statues and art.

7.- Tour to Tortuguero National Park
Depart from San Jose at 6:30 am for a pleasant journey to Tortuguero National Park, after a scenic drive by the Braulio Carrillo National Park, there will be a stop for breakfast at a restaurant in the area of Guapiles, to continue later towards the embarkation dock, located next to the La Suerte River.
Once at Tortuguero National Park you will enter the amazing Palma canal to marvel at the wonders of Mother Nature. The journey continues with a visit to the Caribbean Conservation Corporation for the sea turtles (C.C.C.). After learning about the history of conservation, there will be a walk, in company of a naturalist tour guide, along the beach where every year between the months of July and October hundreds of green sea turtles arrive to lay their eggs, a way to ensure the future of their specie.
This walk will take us to the charming and picturesque village of Tortuguero where there will be time to for some souvenir shopping, followed by a boat ride to the Rana Roja Hotel to enjoy a typical lunch of the area.After lunch and some rest, continue with a guided walk on the rain forest and be in close contact with this beautiful ecosystem, its flora and its fauna.
