Day 01: San Jose

Day 02: San Jose/ Arenal Volcano

After breakfast, you will pick a Hyundai Tucson 4x4 up at your hotel and drive to Arenal Volcano, the Costa Rica’s most spectacular geological attraction. The very active Arenal Volcano frequently emits sounds of violent explosions, attended by clouds of gray, brown, and orange gases. Overnight at the Springs Resort and Spa. With a spectacular view of the Arenal Volcano, natural hot and cold springs, four unique dining experiences, and an impressive full service Spa, The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal promises to overwhelm you in every aspect of quality, service and design. The resort perches one thousand feet above the Arenal Valley on a mountain ridge just six kilometers north of the active volcano but safely outside the government declared danger zone. Our higher altitude relative to other hotels in the area allows for not only incomparable views of the volcano, the lush valley, and the surrounding towns that sparkle at night, but also access to the area’s famous prevailing breezes. In fact, the name Arenal is an indigenous word meaning “Window of the Wind”.  With an average daytime high temperature of 80?F in the shade and nighttime lows averaging 70 F you are sure to enjoy countless comfortable hours in your balcony hammock or sipping a frothy tropical cocktail in one of the spring pools.

Day 03: Arenal

Breakfast. Free day to enjoy the hot springs, enjoy this natural wonder of Costa Rica and soothing feeling in any of mineral pools and naturally warm waterfalls. Overnight at The Springs resort and spa.

After breakfast, continue to Monteverde Cloud Forest, where you may spot birds such as the silvery-throated jay, spangled-checked tanager, black-thighed grosbeak, and the yellow-throated finch. Overnight at the lovely Fonda Vela Hotel. On the Hotel property, you will find lush forests and verdant pastures that are excellent for birding and hiking. We maintain over a kilometer of nature trails. In this tranquil setting, you can often see parrots and toucans that come to feed in the wild fruit trees. During certain months, the Fonda Vela is an excellent place to see Resplendent Quetzals and Three-wattled Bellbirds. Two kilometers away is the world famous, 10,500-hectare (26,000 acres) Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. We can help you choose and book the local tours and attractions most suitable to your desires.
The Fonda Vela Hotel has nine buildings nestled in the beautifully landscaped property. Each is designed with natural lighting, privacy and warmth. All have large windows, with views of our forest, bringing the outside beauty into each luxurious, comfortable and cozy room.

After an early morning breakfast, you will be taken to the Walkways; this is a unique system of suspension bridges that zigzag through deep canyons at the level of the treetops. Then enjoy the canopy tour, which consists of sliding on a cable between many platforms, and different towers over the forest. Here you will experience the cloud forest from a nice perspective. Overnight at Fonda Vela Hotel.

After breakfast, drive to Tamarindo Beach. Overnight at Capitan Suizo Hotel. All rooms benefit from a balcony or terrace, overlook tropical gardens and face towards the ocean. With a free form swimming pool, an internet corner, a gift shop and a fenced in parking lot Capitan Suizo has everything you need to comfortable relax and enjoy your beach holidays

Day 09: Tamarindo / San Jose

Breakfast. Free morning, at afternoon, departure to San Jose. Drop the car off in you hotel. Overnight at Corteza Amarilla Lodge.

Breakfast. Transfer to Juan Santamaria International Airport
